Is It “Christian” To Support Donald Trump?

I’m not going to “bait and switch” you with a fancy headline only to have you figured out that this article has a different agenda. I’m a follower of Jesus Christ and I’m a Trump Supporter. So let’s not play any games. All I ask is that you actually hear me out and read the entire article so that I can give you a scriptural basis to vote for Trump. If you disagree with it, feel free to vote for Satan with a clear conscious. Do we have a deal?

Now why am I qualified to write this article? I’ll give all my credentials…

– I’ve read the entire Bible
– I grew up in the church
– I’m pretty well versed in Christian theology (in all denominations)
– I can keep up with most Pastors in a theological discussion or debate

… Let me also add that I was a Pastor’s kid (yes, that horrible, awful kid that you knew back in church… “I’m one of those”).

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way there are a couple directions that I could take this article…

Option 1 – I could talk about how evil Hillary is by spouting off facts or what some would say “conspiracy theories” about how she’s a Satanist, a pedophile, how Bill has raped women, how she’s accepted money from Saudia Arabia, etc. etc. (By now you’ve heard it all)

Option 2 – I could shed light on the fact that since Trump is a Republican, he’s “anti abortion” which means that if you vote for him less babies will be killed which is the “Christian Way”

… With either of those arguments the whole point would basically be that “Trump is the lesser of 2 evils, so you should vote for him”.

There are plenty of other people out there making the whole “Supreme Court Judge” argument that if you don’t vote for Trump then the government is going to take away your guns and all hell will break loose. So I’m not going to make that argument either.

Instead, I’m just going to make lead with this…

Trump is kind of a douche bag so let’s look at the facts…

– He’s proud
– He’s arrogant
– He’s said some borderline questionable things about certain demographics of people
– He said the word “pussy”
– He’s had allegations from women that he “groped them”
– He won’t release his tax returns
– Trump University has some somewhat “questionable business practices”

… there is probably more dirt that I’m not even listing in this article, but the point is Trump is a horrible sinner.

And we all know all know that the majority of Presidents have never sinners before right?

If that’s true, I’m definitely disqualified from ever running for anything. I grew up in the church by 2 loving Christian parents and I still went through a 10 year period where I partied, drank, did drugs and slept with more women than I care to disclose on this blog post (I honestly don’t know what the number is but it’s a lot) before I came back to walking with God. I still mess up and sin constantly to this day.

After reading the entire Bible extremely carefully and studying the lives of people this is the conclusion I’ve realized…

God typically chooses and uses men and women that are typically some of the worst sinners ever.

Now we can pretty much take Jesus (who never sinned), Job (who God actually said “there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil”) and John the Baptist (who Jesus actually said “Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.) off of the list of “horrible sinners”…

… But for the rest of the chosen men of God, we’ve got a list of real “winners”. Here are just a few examples…

– Noah (the dude that built the Ark that saved humanity) was an alcoholic
– King David slept with one his most loyal soldier’s wife, got her pregnant and then put him on the front lines so that he was killed to cover up the pregnancy.
– Solomon (David & Bathsebas son) was a womanizer and had 700 wives and 300 concubines.
– The Apostle Paul killed Christians (before he converted)

… There are more examples than what I’ve listed obviously, but the point is God uses horrible sinners to do his work and Trump meets the criteria of horrible sinner.

The man has spent 100 million dollars of his own money and if you look at the big picture, it’s pretty obvious that he cares about his country. He’s already a billionaire so I don’t think that money really motivates him (what is a guy his age going to do with more money).

So in answering the original question…

Is It “Christian” To Support Donald Trump?

… My answer to you given the facts is it’s really unchristian to not support him.

Not voting for him because you think “he’s morally a horrible person” isn’t really a very good argument. He’s exactly the type of person that Jesus came to save & I would even argue that any Christians coming out publicly with that argument is doing the exact same thing that the Pharisees (the religious leaders who were mostly responsible for killing Jesus) did back then.

Please share this article or comment below with your thoughts or scriptural argument as to why you might think I’m wrong :)

P.S. If this argument didn’t convince you to vote Trump, just remember that Hillary took millions of dollars from Saudia Arabia, which is a country that follows Islam and wants to completely destroy our way of life. The guy that started Islam (Muhammed) actually said that Jesus never died on the cross…

Surah 4:157-158 states: “That they said (in boast), ‘We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah’—but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not—nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself.”

… so there, I said it. Something to think about.

P.P.S. I can’t wait till this election is over. :)
